The human body can be called a biotransducer of sound waves which are able to help the body recover from diverse ailments ranging from speech impairments and depression, to strokes. As music slows the neuronal firings deep within the brain, sound therapy can also be used for sleep and relaxation, so critical for the body’s ability to heal itself. Not all sounds are musical. For example, binaural tones occur where two different tones create a disparity that corresponds to frequencies like alpha waves, and they may be introduced to induce deeper states of relaxation and aid learning and memory.
